This incense holder is made from solid cast iron and has a black gloss finish. It is best used for burning incense sticks or cones. Can also be used as a small smudge pot but this can cause damage to the finish. If planning to use for smudging, it is recommended to add a layer of sand or some other protective layer in order to protect the finish .
